On Friday 20 Mar, we performed eye screenings for 90 employees at Partners Group Singapore. With Eyeviser’s mobile equipment and optometrists on site, comprehensive eye examinations were accomplished smoothly!

Dr Christine Yau from International Eye Cataract Retina Centre also gave an engaging lunchtime talk about eyecare tips and common eye conditions 😎

When spending long hours in front of a screen, dry eyes and eye strain can often cause discomfort. Developing small habits like taking regular screen breaks can go a long way in maintaining our eye health in the office!

Inspiring talks, wonderful booths and a supportive community - what more can we ask for? We had a blast this past Saturday Tanjong Pagar Community Club‘s International Women’s Day event!

We had the chance to chat with the lovely guests and participants about the importance of eye health at Eyeviser’s booth, and got the chance to listen to many moving and inspirational talks.

Happy International Women’s Day everyone!

We had the privilege of doing eye screenings and interactive eyecare workshops for Secondary One students of Bukit Merah Secondary School on financial assistance. More than half of them needed new glasses or were not wearing any despite needing them.

We are grateful to OneSight EssilorLuxottica Foundation for their generous sponsorship of the frames and lenses.

On 6th Feb, our team of optometrists did eye health exams for adults with various disabilities at Christian Outreach to the Handicapped Toa Payoh. Christian Outreach to the Handicapped supports adults with physical and developmental disabilities.

Eye exams can be stressful and intimidating for them. It takes a tremendous amount of effort, adaptability and patience to examine them effectively.

However, with the help of Eyeviser’s experienced optometrists and handheld equipment, we were able to provide an inclusive and sensory-friendly experience for our clients.

In September, we launched a kids eyecare art contest to kickstart a conversation about inclusive eye health through the vibrant, unfiltered lens of childhood imagination.

Last weekend, we held the award ceremony for the kids eyecare contest. Outstanding artworks by the children at APSN Chaoyang School decorated our walls for the Inclusive Eye Health Art Exhibition. Many thanks to Mr Tham Pui San, our art contest judge, and the teachers from APSN for making the effort to guide the students to create the artworks on inclusive eyecare.

Our young participants, did more than just draw pictures. You sent us windows into your worlds—worlds filled with superheroes whose power is giving the gift of clear sight, and beautiful landscapes viewed through happy, healthy eyes.

Come on down to our inclusive eye centre at Enabling Village to view them in all their glory! 👀✨

Why your eyes, and our eyes matter.

80% of blindness is treatable and preventable.

Our founder was 13 when her father's retina was detached at 42 years old.

In 2013, she joined the vision care industry to bring affordable eyecare to the 2.5 billion people worldwide who needed eyeglasses but never had them. From grandmothers in rural Sichuan, China, to labourers in Gulbarga, India, she witnessed a profound lack of awareness of eye health. Most had never checked their eyes before.

Fast forward to Singapore, 2020. Even in this developed country, more than 8 in 10 adults do not have regular eye exams, until they experience serious vision issues.
