i highly recommend watching this documentary with your families and people you work with . Please share. I knew plastics were a problem as do most of you and have watched documentaries . This documentary of indonesia and bali one of our 2nd homes is so sad how much garbage and waste has been dumped on them
by other countries who are trying to get rid of their own plastics is shameful it breaks my heart to see children playing in this and what is doing to one of the most beautiful countries i've visited .
i feel even more compelled to make a difference for our kids and the generations that follow. It's even more sad for the people who are poor and who do not have a voice for what's happening to their own country.
Education and Action is power ! It's very sad to see that almost all the new so called biodegradable replacements are not any better then plastic.
Please share and help to get rid of unnecessary single use plastic and other items . We should be going towards more of a bulk use of refilling if possible to save on all the packaging so wasteful killing our planet. One person can make a difference little at a time.

Only five more days to go until Father's Day. Still time to decide what to do for that special man in your life.
Everyday leading up to Fatherβs Day I will feature a father whom I've asked how they manage to BALANCE WORK, FAMILY & HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
Today's father is Darien Bradshaw who works in Realestate. Darien lives in singapore with his wife Hazel who also works full time and their energetic 8 year old daughter Hailey.
Darien how do you balance work, family life and healthy lifestyle?
"I keep a routine and compartmentalize times of the day for work, family, exercise, play and learning. I make sure to make time for growth mentality."
How do you fit in exercise?
"I exercise every morning from 6am. My exercise regime includes yoga and I rotate cycling , walking and Swimming everyday . "
What is your Work life Balance tip for other fathers?
"Be responsible for committing to yourself and the tasks you have highlighted as important each day. There is always room for everything. But always be prepared to be flexible to the fixed routine when your young children need attention as they live for the now and not your routine. When they want time, give it to them in spades. They will always remember and love you for it! Even if itβs not obvious for years to come."
Thank you Darien for taking the time to answer my questions . This is wonderful advice as children do need parents to be flexible and they do remember the special moments that Dad takes out of his routine to give them attention!
With that being said Singapore has now opened phase 2 just in time for Father's Day so families can now go to restaurants and host small groups of people in their home. What a great way to start off the Father's Day weekend!

This year Covid and social distancing make this Father's Day even more important. I would like to pay tribute to the working fathers and some who may recently have lost their jobs due to Covid who are juggling working from home, family and maintaining a healthy mindful lifestyle.
Everyday leading up to Fatherβs Day I will feature a father whom I've asked how they manage to BALANCE WORK, FAMILY & HEALTHY LIFESTYLE.
Our first father is Krishna Zulkarnain who works for Cloudfare. Krishna lives in singapore with his lovely wife Patria who is a interior designer and their three children Aliyah 11, Akira 6 and Arjuna 4.
Krishna how do you balance work, family life?
"I donβt try to achieve balance since that implies that something has to give in order to achieve it. I rather go for work life harmony. We try to make it work for everyone considering every family member and lifestyle so that everyones well-being is considered."
How do you fit in exercise?
"I prioritise it equally the same as work. Just as I schedule a work meeting in my schedule which I must attend, I also schedule my work out in my schedule that I must do. The healthier I am, the better I am at work so its linked and equally important,"
What is your Work life Balance tip for other fathers?
"Find harmony in your family by knowing what works for you and the personalities of your family. Donβt try to force fit a balance."
