Did you know that there are over 45 different species of lavender (and hundreds of varieties?).
And the essential oils produced from them smell differently (and have different properties!)

*Tsubaki Shampoos* πΈ
Sometimes people think that our bars just differ by scent and color with the same ingredients inside.
Not true! π€
Some ingredients stay the same (like the cleansers, pro-vitamin B5, plant-based silicone replacement, etc.), but then there are others that change - and that ultimately make each bar different from the other.
The 2 ingredients that make Tsubaki bars stand out are: Japanese camellia oil and inulin π©π»βπ¬πΏ
This shampoo is for normal hair and it gently cleanses it while moisturizing without greasiness.
πΈ Japanese camellia oil is a light oil - moisturizing yet non-greasy.
π± Inulin - a prebiotic derived from chicory root. It balances the scalp's microflora, moisturizes the hair and scalp without greasiness, and adds shine to hair.
Also, like with our other bars, your hair will most likely stay clean for longer and you won't have to wash it as often as before - people report this! πΏ
And a customer once said that this shampoo smells pretty ππ

A couple of years ago, and I did a day trip to the blooming cherry fields (what it is about trains that is so fun?!) - the visuals are from that trip πΈ
Rows and rows of blooming cherry trees. And they are blooming in many parts of the world now βΊοΈ
It kind of became my mini tradition to do a promo on my Tsubaki shampoos this time of the year and highlight what is special about these cute (but brilliant!) little bars.
Watch out for a promo on the site π and for coming posts on the ingredients π±

After a long while, our Amla and Cinnamon bars with Redensyl are back (a separate post is coming) and... spring is upon us.
That means, Tsubaki season... and also some spring updates to the line π
Stay tuned πππ»

Did you know what the difference is between our body washes?
Besides the scent π€
It's coconut milk powder! π₯₯β¨
Creamy Coconut body wash contains coconut milk powder (and the rest don'tπ).
It's a powder obtained by dehydrating the creamy, rich liquid made from the meat of mature coconuts (and when in contact with water, it becomes coconut milk again!).
It is high in saturated fat, mainly lauric acid along with Vitamins B, C, and E and antioxidants and it moisturizes and softens the skin.
Try out the creaminess πββοΈ

Ginger & Shea Soaps π« π₯₯
Made these a month ago as a test for my soap making workshop. And just tested them yesterday.
Yes, real 'ah soap from scratch βοΈπ
Soap making workshop β€οΈπ§Ό
I taught a soap making workshop almost a month ago - it was really fun.
Mixing LYE (sodium hydroxide) and water (and watching it heat up by itself π€― π‘οΈ) and then blending this solution together with oils and butters to create a soap mass was a fun little science experiment π©βπ¬
And together with socializing and nibbling on food? An afternoon well spent π€
I made a small batch of soap as a test before this workshop and today, I have finally tested it (it takes at least 3 weeks for soap to cure! βοΈ).
Pic proof tomorrow π
