My mother taught my hands how to chop vegetables faster than I probably should be allowed to.
But more than that — she showed me how a mother’s hands make things. Quietly. Constantly. With love I’m only beginning to understand now that I have my own children.
I’ve been thinking about her hands a lot lately. I wanted to make a moment for other people to think about theirs too.
