Cloth pads sound like a washing nightmare. I won't even pretend otherwise.
But after 10 years of using them and 8 years of making them for other women? The whole routine takes under 2 minutes. No soaking overnight. No special products. No drama.
I just put together a full breakdown of every washing method: machine, hand wash, soak; plus how to actually dry them in Singapore humidity without everything smelling funky.
If you've been curious but that one question kept stopping you, this is for you 👉

Isnt this what most of us experience every month? Year after year..
Me: “I just want something that doesn’t give me rashes.”
Also me 10 years later:
✔ Collecting pretty prints
✔ Matching fabrics
✔ Talking about absorbencies for fun
✔ Running a cloth pad business
That escalated quickly. 😂🌸

8 years of this page. And this is the first time I’m telling you my story properly.
My mom used cloth. Always had. But when I was growing up, she quietly handed me something more convenient. She was protecting me in the way she knew how. And she wasn’t wrong. Disposable pads are convenient for a woman, no matter at what stage of life she is. For young girls, she is mostly busy with school, sports, playing, extra classes etc..so it was an obvious choice.
But convenience has a cost we don’t always see right away.
Disposable pads evolved in a direction that started hurting more than helping. The health issues crept in. The questions followed. And when I finally started questioning what I was using, it opened a door I couldn’t close.
This isn’t just about periods. It’s about what we’re handed as ‘normal’, what we don’t question, and what happens when we finally do.
When I made the switch, it wasn’t a trend. It was relief. Actual, physical relief. I didn’t just switch products, I came back to something my mother already knew.
And if someone like me, who grew up thinking disposables were just ‘easier’, could unlearn it all and find my way back?
Anyone can.
This is my pinned post for a reason. Start here. 🤍
