The name CAFE.RUI which is derive from both my daughters’ middle name Rui, encompasses the love I have for my two daughters born in 2009 and 2015 respectively. The inspiration behind this brand is that both my daughters share a love for cookies and cakes and as their mummy, I love nothing more than to bake for them and keep my girls happy.

Through my previous work as a Nail Academy entrepreneur from 2006 to 2018, I have had ample opportunities to explore with different color tones and hues to come up with intricate designs for nails. The pursuit of greater family time with my loved ones brought an end to my adventure in the Nail Academy studio back in 2018. I’ve learned so much from the experience and believe the creative flair I share is now translatable to the bakes you can find on CAFE.RUI.

Providing a delish tasty treat that fills the tummy of people is my calling. It is very true that having CAFE.RUI to do so provides me with enormous gratification. During my time as a housewife, I have picked up baking with friends and honed my craft at a baking academy. On just one family occasion where I was sharing my bakes with my family, my brother came out with this idea “why not you share your love to others too, that’s where CAFE.RUI came about!”

At CAFE.RUI, I have the unique privilege to indulge in my craft and pursue my calling. We are a growing and conscious brand that strives to provide delish bakes even for the little ones to enjoy.
