Birthdays arenât milestones; theyâre manifestos. Permission to be gloriously contradictory: profound and playful, ridiculous and sublime, exactly yourself and somehow more.
The French understood this: celebration isnât indulgenceâitâs recognition. A ritual honoring the distance between who you were and who youâve courageously become.
Every candle is a tiny rebellion. Every toast, a declaration. Every bubble rising, proof that joy refuses to be ordinary.
