Good morning fellow, Sierra Leoneans and the head of ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and all reputable staffs
I have a very burning issues going on in my village that's Taninihun Mboka in Moyamba district in kobora chiefdom.My name is Michael Trye a son of the soil. It all started some times last year when I received a call from some key stake holders and youths in the village speaking on the phone that they do not need their section chief any more due to his continuous intimidations. According to them, majority of the young men have abandoned the village simply because of his intimidating practices. So in view of the above they have written series of letters demanding for an election since the section chief in question was not elected, but unfortunately, this is not forthcoming for reasons unknown to them.
At this juncture, I'm pleading on the indulgence of the minister of local Government and other government personalities to kindly intervene so that peace will reign as the matter has been taken to the paramount but no action has been taken. My very self have met him on the said matter but he has not done anything to resolve that issue. Currently the paramount chief is blind, the District Officer working for him is delaying the matter with threatening remarks to the villagers saying that if anyone speak of removing the section chief, he will jail them.
The village is not actually in normalcy.
