Congratulations to Twic Mayardit Football Team for their victory, and hard luck to our Abyei Football Team who fought with pride until the last whistle.

But today, the real victory was not decided by penalties. The real victory was the image of two sisterly communities Abyei and Twic Mayardit sharing the same pitch once again. For three years, that spirit of brotherhood was lost. Today, thanks to BCPT, it was reborn.

Football has always been more than a game. It is a mirror of who we are our struggles, our unity, and our hope. Penalties, yes, are often about luck and technique, and Twic Mayardit deserve respect for holding firm. But beyond the scoreline, what matters most is that both sides gave us a match that healed wounds and reminded us of our shared bond.

This was not just a contest. It was a reunion. It was a reminder that even when rivalry burns, blood and history bind us stronger. If football can bring Abyei and Twic Mayardit together again, then imagine what unity can do for our peace, our youth, and our future.

Today’s game was the most exciting match Abyei has played since I began watching their games. Despite missing a crucial penalty in the 65th minute a goal that could have equalized the score and possibly led to a win....I was genuinely surprised by how well Abyei performed.

We can no longer say we don’t have a good team. As Abyei people, we have a strong squad capable of competing in any tournament and carrying the momentum to win titles in the future. Honestly, I was worried before the match began. I thought our opponents would dominate and score multiple goals. But Abyei proved me wrong with their solid performance, especially in defense it was rock solid 🪨, and I truly enjoyed watching it.

The match went all the way to a penalty shootout. Despite our boys struggling with poor penalty kicks, I still give them their flowers 🌺🌹. Perhaps they simply lack the technique or confidence in penalty situations. I won’t blame the players or the coaching staff, but in a match like this, you can’t leave out Magak Kur from the penalty lineup.

Special appreciation goes to Deng Arop Lukuk for his outstanding saves today. He’s a truly talented goalkeeper. Unfortunately, the players let us down in the end.

Even though I wasn’t physically present, I watched the match live, and it was incredibly entertaining. Congratulations to Twic Mangardit, and hard luck to our homies...Triple A.

The president of Bhar El Ghazal Counties Peace Tournament (BCPT), Majok Ayar Chieny has been urged to take legal action against all media outlets that have taken side and spread propaganda against the Abyei football team.

Media Outlets such as Twic Media Report and Dalwuot Media are sponsored by BCPT to provide neutrality and keep fans informed. However, these outlets have abandoned neutrality, ganged up against Abyei Football Team and are spreading propaganda against the team.

The president have been urged to act immediately and intervene. The sponsored Media were entrusted by the management to uphold media ethics during the peace tournament. Unfortunately, they've officially taken side against Abyei Team. President Majok has been called upon to argently provide a solution.

Reaching the round of 16 already shows Abyei team has qualities. But the knockout stage is a completely different pace no room for mistakes, every minutes counts. A few things will determine whether they're truly ready.

1.FITNESS AND RECOVERY-: The players must stay shape, avoid fatigue and recover quickly between matches. Knockout punish tired legs.

2. TACTICAL DISCIPLINES: In the group stage, you can afford a sliff and still qualify. But here one mistake can send you home. The defense must stay compact, and the attack must be more critical.

3. MENTAL STRENGTH: Pressure is higher now, they need composure, patience and confidence to handle tough opponents.

4. BENCH DEBTH: Substitute and fresh energy play a big role. The coach must rotate wisely.

5. FANS SUPPORTS: Motivation from the fans always boost players in crucial moments.
