An independent budget couple can do okay on $30 to $50 per day and a mid-range couple should be comfortable on $50 to $80, but it takes a bit of work to find good accommodation values. You’re often better off with an apartment rental service in some locations because then you’re getting the real market price and you can find a place to stay for less.

Attractions include imposing castles, charming villages, intact historic city centers, and the beaches of the Black Sea coast. Nature is the best asset. Hiking is good in warm weather and there are places to stay along the trails. In the winter, you can also go skiing in the mountains, where an all-day lift ticket can be as little as 10 euros. Historic and picturesque cities like Plovdiv and Veliko Tarnovo would be thronged with tour buses if they were in Western Europe somewhere. Here you can almost have them to yourself.

There are some destinations where you are paying a lot because the place or experience just plain costs a lot. Usually it’s worth every dollar, a good value even, but you have to pony up enough to make it happen. Because of writing assignments, I have been able to go on two trips to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador. If you search around on the web, you can find articles on how to “do the Galapagos on the cheap,” but really it’s all relative. You have to spend a few hundred dollars to fly out there in the first place from the mainland, you’ll pay $110 in fees after arrival into a conservation fund, and then virtually everything on Santa Cruz Island is going to be twice the price as the mainland while you’re lining up a tour.

The cost of living in Panama may not be the cheapest in Latin America, but when you consider all the positive factors that lure lots of expats there each year, it comes out high on the value scale.

You’ve got good air connections, a dollar economy with low inflation, easy paths to residency, good retirement incentives, and year-round beaches to enjoy. There’s terrific health care at attractive prices, cheap booze, and low tariffs on imports. If you don’t like the heat, you can just go up to a higher altitude to find a more temperate climate.

If you want to consistently find bargain car rentals when you travel, you may need to invest a little time to shop around. And probably take a chance now and then.

18 команд по Dota 2, которые сыграют на The International 10, успешно добрались до Бухареста — места проведения турнира. На это в твиттере обратил внимание инсайдер Викрам Редди.

Матчи The International 10 начнутся 7 октября. Турнир стартует с группового этапа, который команды сыграют из отеля. Противостояния в основной части турнира начнутся 12 октября — эту стадию примет бухарестская National Arena. Изначально соревнование планировали провести со зрителями, но 3 октября Valve сообщила, что из-за ухудшения эпидемиологической ситуации в Румынии чемпионат пройдет при пустых трибунах.

СНГ на TI10 представят Virtus.pro и Team Spirit. Команда Виталия Save- Мельника получила приглашение на турнир по итогам сезона Dota Pro Circuit, а ростер Ярослава Miposhka Найдёнова заработал слот в отборочных.

Саппорт Team Spirit Мирослав Miroslaw Колпаков продемонстрировал место команды для тренировок на The International 10 (2021) по Dota 2. Несколько фотографий он опубликовал в истории профиля в Instagram.

На снимках можно увидеть, что на компьютере игрока не активирована операционная система Windows — из-за этого в правом нижнем углу экрана появилась соответствующая надпись, которая накладывается поверх всех окон. Есть ли эта проблема на всех ПК, неизвестно. Помимо этого, Колпаков показал игровое место мидера Spirit Александра TORONTOTOKYO Хертека — судя по фотографии, оно находится на кухне.

Valve запретила участникам The International 10 покидать отель и обязала носить GPS‑трекеры

Valve ужесточила правила для участников The International 10 по Dota 2. Одним из требований теперь является ношение игроками и талантами студий освещения специального GPS-устройства.

Брелок с трекером крепится на бейдж с именем игрока или кастера и отслеживает все перемещения. Теоретически, частники могут оставить GPS-устройство в номере и покинуть отель при необходимости, однако за нарушение правил могут последовать санкции.

Кроме того, Valve ввела ограничения по количеству сотрудников команд, которые могут находиться в прямом контакте с игроками — не более восьми человек. Как ранее сообщил аналитик Team Spirit Виталий Sword_Art Петкин, теперь контент-мейкеры, психологи и другой персонал не будет иметь доступ к командам на месте проведения турнира.
