Life is a journey filled with choices some small, some life-changing. And along this path, we are often taught to give, to serve, to place others before ourselves. While there is beauty in sacrifice and generosity, there is also danger in forgetting that we, too, are human beings who need care, rest, and love.

So many times, we give until we are empty. We say yes when our hearts want to say no. We please others even if it means losing a part of ourselves. And in the process, we begin to question our worth, forgetting that our happiness, our peace, and our dreams matter too.

But today, I want to remind you of something powerful: it is never wrong to choose yourself.

Choosing yourself does not mean you stop loving others. It does not mean you become selfish or uncaring. In fact, it means the opposite. When you protect your peace, when you nurture your growth, when you honor your own worth—you are able to give more, love deeper, and shine brighter. You cannot pour from an empty cup, and you cannot light the way for others if your own flame has gone out.

Yes, there will be times when people won’t understand. Some may call you selfish. But remember this, self-love is not selfishness. Self-love is wisdom. It is courage. It is the foundation of a life lived with purpose and strength.

So do not feel guilty for setting boundaries. Do not be afraid to walk away from what drains you. Do not apologize for saying yes to what nourishes your soul. Stand firm in your truth, because the greatest loyalty you can ever give is the loyalty you give to yourself.

The Humble Hany

In a quiet corner of the village , where smiles are as warm as the sun and kindness flows as freely as the breeze, there lived a small candy vendor named Aling Hani. She was known not just for her homemade sweets but for the little piece of joy she wrapped in every Hani Candy

Lord, please help them. Be their shelter in this storm. Calm their fears, protect their lives, and give them hope. As the world shakes around them, be their peace. They need You now more than ever.

Music speaks when words fail. It lifts us when we're down, comforts us in silence, and reminds us we're not alone. In every melody, there's healing in every lyric, hope. Music doesn't just fill the air; it fills the heart.

Bad weather reminds us that not every day will be bright but every storm will pass. Just like in life, dark clouds may come, but they teach us patience, resilience, and hope. Rainy days help us appreciate the sunshine more. In every storm, there’s a lesson and after every storm, there’s growth.

True happiness doesn’t always come from having more it often comes from appreciating what we already have. Being contented means recognizing the value of simple things: the people we love, the little wins, and the quiet moments. When we stop comparing ourselves to others and focus on what’s already present in our lives, we begin to see that joy is not found in possessions or perfection, but in peace of mind. Contentment allows us to smile with less, love more deeply, and live with gratitude. In a world that constantly pushes us to want more, contentment is a quiet form of strength and the real source of happiness.

Sometimes, we work hard to follow our own plans, thinking we know exactly what’s best for our lives. But our plans can sometimes lead to dry, unfruitful paths much like the lifeless tree. In contrast, God’s plan, though it may be different or even delayed, often leads to something far greater, growth, beauty, and purpose, like the flourishing tree full of blossoms. This reminds us that while our vision is limited, God sees the bigger picture. Trusting Him requires faith, patience, and surrender, but the results are always worth it. In moments of doubt or disappointment, may we be reminded that letting go of our own plan can open the door to something far more beautiful God’s perfect plan.

With every sip, we gather patience for the learners who forgot their homework again, strength to manage the endless reports, and hope to ignite a spark in students who feel unseen.
The cup of coffee, simple yet powerful, remind us each day that we may be tired, but we're still showing up, we may be overwhelmed, but we' re still giving our best. It’s more than caffeine, it’s courage in a cup.
Like coffee, life may be bitter at times but it warms us, energizes us, and teaches us that even small comforts can lead to big inspiration.

Teachers carry deadlines, paperwork, and pressure but behind every “late submission” is often a student doing their best under circumstances we don’t always see. Compassion, not just compliance, makes a real educator.

Dear Lord,

Please calm the skies and stop the heavy rain.
Keep everyone safe in their homes, on the roads, and in shelters.Protect us from harm and bring peace to our hearts. We trust in You.
