LaTaé's Handmade Soaps and More

Two weeks ago, our local shelter asked if our nonprofit @orphankittenclub would be able to intake a litter of 6 neonatal kittens. They sent us photos of a tuxedo boy, an orange and white boy…and 4 calico girls! If you know anything about my now husband(!!!) @iamthecatphotographer, you know he is obsessed with calicos, and we rarely have them—especially not 4 of them. So we decided to keep them a total secret from Andrew until our wedding! The kittens went into foster with @loveqin_fosters who did an amazing job caring for them (2 hour feedings with a group that big is no joke!) Then @meganlynnkott snuck them into the wedding and @me0wsages arranged their care in a secret room. Our florist @fleuralchemy.co was in on it too, and made an adorable flower basket with animal-safe flowers for us to present Andrew with. Pretty much everyone involved in the wedding knew, except Andrew. So halfway through mocktail hour, we told Andrew we had a little surprise for him, and walked him over to a shady area where he was presented with a flower basket full of just-fed calico kittens. The look on his face was truly precious. He was SHOCKED! He actually cried from being so surprised and happy. Best day ever! Tomorrow we will take over fostering this sweet 6 pack, and I can’t wait for you all to get to know and love them! Their names are themed around weddings, of course. Any guesses? 💕
