Last Fletcher Area Business Association Snack Pak delivery for this school year. For four years Mills River Elementary and Etowah we have had the privilege of delivering snacks. Just two of the eight schools FABA raises money to deliver to 4 times a year to Henderson County Elementary Schools!

Fear is a natural part of being human. Whenever we step into something new, whether it’s a new opportunity, a difficult conversation, a bold decision, or a meaningful goal, fear often appears. Many people believe that courage means being fearless, but in reality, courage has very little to do with the absence of fear.

Fear rarely disappears completely.

Instead, courage is the decision to move forward despite fear. It is the quiet strength that says, “Yes, I feel uncertain, but I will still take the next step.” Every meaningful achievement, every act of leadership, and every personal breakthrough begins with this simple choice.

Waiting for fear to vanish before taking action can keep us stuck for years. Growth does not come from comfort; it comes from stepping beyond what feels safe and familiar. Each time we act in the presence of fear, we strengthen our confidence and expand what we believe is possible.

Over time, the fear that once felt overwhelming begins to lose its power because we realize that we are stronger than the doubts inside our minds.

So the next time fear shows up, remember this: you don’t have to eliminate fear to move forward.
You only need the courage to take the next step.
