What if Gen X’ers communicated like Gen Z’ers?

50% or more would have never married therefore divorce rate would be lower

Gen X’er was low key in their feels (mad, sad, angry, excited) they’d # (hashtag it) and let everyone know on tiktok 🤣
Everything you bought everyone would know about
Your hair, your makeup, and your outfit would be public knowledge and available for comments before anyone saw you 😆

You may have breast reconstruction by 35 because of genetic testing and all the public knowledge about breast cancer 🧐

Less than 3 % of women you know would have breast cancer period,

Less than 2% would have metastatic breast cancer,

less than one percent would have gotten stage one or greater because of immediate and aggressive treatment & cancer free in less than 6 months,
50% less than that would pass from breast cancer

Cuz Mammograms and early detection started in early adulthood 18-22 years and
EVERYONE goes annually cuz its low key ‘what we do’

**** EARLY DETECTION IS A MUST
Go for annual exams, ask for an MRI plus the usual offered mammogram. If you’re still curious or concerned in anyway, ask for a CT. Often times a mammogram is not enough.

🥣 Nourishing my body one bite at a time! 🌱💚 Daily..

Today’s meal is packed with whole-food goodness and powerful nutrients:

🍅 Tomato soup – rich in lycopene, a powerful antioxidant that supports heart health and helps fight inflammation.

🌱 Broccoli sprouts – loaded with sulforaphane, a remarkable plant compound known to support detoxification, cellular health, and the body’s natural defense systems.

🌻 Sunflower sprouts – packed with vitamins A, C, E, and minerals that help support immunity and overall wellness.

🥣 Homemade granola with oats, cashews, and sunflower seeds – providing fiber, healthy fats, plant-based protein, and sustained energy.

✨ Chia seeds and flaxseeds – tiny nutritional powerhouses full of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and antioxidants that support heart, brain, and digestive health.

🥑 A whole fresh avocado – rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats, potassium, fiber, and nutrients that help keep you satisfied and energized.

Every ingredient on this plate serves a purpose. Together, they provide a beautiful balance of healthy fats, fiber, antioxidants, vitamins, minerals, and plant-based nutrition to support overall health and vitality.

Food is more than fuel—it’s information for every cell in our bodies. Today, I’m choosing nourishment, wellness, and gratitude. 💙

PLAY IN THE DIRT

There’s something deeply healing about getting your hands in the dirt. 🤘

• 🌱 Spend a few minutes outside each day and let nature work its magic.
• 🌼 Gardening is a wonderful way to reduce stress, boost your mood, and reconnect with yourself.
• ♻️ Reuse cardboard from shipping boxes to naturally suppress w**ds and enrich your soil.
• 🐝 Protect pollinators, pets, and the environment by choosing chemical-free gardening methods.
• 💚 Small, mindful choices can make a big difference for both personal wellness and the planet.

When we step outside to plant a garden, pull w**ds, or simply connect with the earth, we’re doing more than caring for our yards—we’re caring for ourselves.

Studies show that time in nature can reduce stress, boost mood, and support overall well-being.

This year, instead of reaching for chemical w**d killers, try a healthier alternative.

Those Amazon boxes headed for the recycling bin can have a second life in your garden. Remove any tape and labels, lay the cardboard over unwanted w**ds, and cover it with mulch. As it breaks down naturally, it helps suppress w**ds while improving soil health.

Compare that to spraying chemicals that can harm our health, our pets, beneficial insects, and the environment. Every small choice creates a ripple effect.

Recycle. Reuse. Get your hands dirty. Grow something beautiful.

You don’t have to save the planet all at once—just do your best, one cardboard box, one garden bed, and one mindful choice at a time.

The earth takes care of us every day.

Maybe it’s time we return the favor. 🌎💚🌱

Some days, the best medicine isn’t found in a hospital room or in another scan result. Sometimes it’s in the dirt under your fingernails from landscaping, the fresh paint on your walls, or the mural you finally decided to create.

Passion projects become more than projects during cancer. They become purpose. They become distraction from the biomarker numbers, the waiting, the discomfort, and the pain. They remind you that you are still creating, still dreaming, still living.

Whether it’s planting flowers, repainting your home, building something with your hands, or pouring your emotions into art — find the thing that gives your mind somewhere beautiful to go.

Joy matters.
Purpose matters.
Creating matters.

And sometimes, healing looks like simply doing something that makes your soul feel alive again.

Do you have a passion project? What do you do that brings you joy & positive distraction outside of work, parenting, and your volunteer job? COMMENT below with yours!!

Ps: the images show the front porch, decking, the columns, the trim, the stairs, the framing around the doors and the French doors painted as well as the beginning of the landscaping
Next, it shows the hallway to the master bedroom stages of the mural currently in progress..

💗 First, thank you all so much for the prayers, messages, advice, stories, encouragement, and love. Every message truly means more than you know. Please continue to pray, and if you ever come across a healer, specialist, researcher, clinic, treatment, or ANY information related to ILMBC4 (invasive lobular metastatic breast cancer stage 4), please send it my way. I deeply appreciate every person trying to help me fight this battle and share knowledge that could help not only me, but others walking this road as well. 🙏✨

One thing I’ve realized is that there’s a huge difference between Stage 4 cancer and Stage 4 metastatic cancer.

Many times each week, I receive beautiful stories, reels, and videos about people who survived cancer. I appreciate every single one of them. ❤️ Most of those stories involve cancer that was localized or had only spread to nearby lymph nodes. Even Stage 4 cancer can sometimes still be treated with surgery, radiation, immunotherapy, proton therapy, or other aggressive treatments.

For example, Chris Wark from “Chris Beats Cancer” had Stage 3 colon cancer at age 26 and shares that he healed himself through an intensive radical diet and lifestyle approach over two years. Stories like his are inspiring and give people hope. 💚

However, once cancer spreads beyond the lymph nodes into distant parts of the body, it becomes metastatic disease. That changes the treatment path significantly.

At this point, doctors are calling my diagnosis incurable Stage 4 metastatic disease. That means it is not localized and currently cannot be treated with surgery, radiation, proton therapy, or immunotherapy. Instead, I will remain on hormone inhibitors and anti-growth medications long-term — similar to managing a chronic illness.

But God is the ultimate authority over my life and my healing. 🙏💙 He alone determines my future, and I remain grateful, hopeful, faithful, and determined every single day.

My role is to support my body, my healing, and the conventional treatments through:✨ Nutrition✨ Rest✨ Exercise✨ Research✨ Supplements✨ Immune support✨ Reducing inflammation and oxidative stress✨ Staying mentally and spiritually strong

Here’s what I’m currently doing alongside my medical treatments in hopes of living my healthiest and fullest life possible:

💊 Conventional Treatments:• Kisqali• Letrozole• Lupron• Xarelto• Magnesium• Vitamin K• Vitamin D3• Calcium

🌱 Integrative / Supportive Therapies:• Umbilical cord stem cells (first infusion was in March; likely every 6 months)• AHCC mushroom extract supplement• Fresh lion’s mane & turkey tail mushrooms• Broccoli sprouts (sulforaphane)• Daily flaxseed, chia seeds, mushroom powder, hydrogen tablets & collagen powder• Bone broth• Ginger drinks• Matcha & green tea• Berries, avocado, tomato soup & salmon• Anti–free radical / antioxidant-focused nutrition• Daily exercise 🚶‍♀️💪

And yes… I still balance life with joy too. 💃🍰🍸That includes yummy food, an occasional dessert (like the fresh baked apple pie in this photo 😍), and sometimes a beautiful drink with a flower on top — because living fully matters too.

For those asking about the anti–free radical foods I focus on, these are some of the staples:

🫐 Berries:Blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, raspberries

🥦 Cruciferous vegetables:Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, cabbage

🥜 Nuts & seeds:Walnuts, almonds, pecans, chia, flax, sunflower seeds

🌈 Colorful vegetables:Bell peppers, beets, tomatoes, carrots, sweet potatoes

🥑 Healthy fats:Avocados, olive oil, salmon

These foods help reduce oxidative stress and support healthy cells.

Thank you again for standing beside me through this journey. Your prayers, research, encouragement, faith, and love are carrying me more than you know. 💗 And again — if you know of ANYTHING related to ILMBC4, metastatic breast cancer, integrative healing, specialists, trials, immune therapies, nutrition research, or alternative support options, please send the information along. I’m continuing to research, learn, pray, and fight every single day. 🙏✨

“The trouble is, you think you have time.” — Buddha

A diagnosis has a way of making this hit differently.
Before cancer, most of us lived like time was infinite. We put off the hard conversations, the dream trips, the “I love you’s” we assumed could wait. We said someday more than today.

Then cancer walks in and rearranges everything.
Suddenly, time becomes the most precious and most uncertain thing you have. And while that truth is painful, it also carries a gift most people never unwrap: permission to stop waiting.

Permission to say what needs to be said. To let go of what no longer serves you. To spend your energy on what and who actually matters.

Cancer doesn’t just change your life’s plan. It changes your relationship with time itself.

So if there’s something you’ve been putting off, a call, a trip, a boundary, a dream, consider this your reminder.

You don’t need a diagnosis to stop waiting. You just need today.

💙 Tag someone who needs this reminder.

PS. Enjoying this Slow Friday morning with my kids playing scrabble before the hustle and bustle of grad party weekend
P.S.S. Do what you love. Walk away from stress and drama. Love who you want. Love loudly and freely. Reach out to those you love and remind them ❤️
