The only 2 guarantees in this life are change, and death.
I’ve stepped away from teaching to become a student again. I’ll always be learning, unlearning, and sharing the power of knowledge.
To me, being a student of yoga means revisiting the sutras, texts, and wisdom that my teachers before me have learned and taught.
My yoga mat is only a symbol of this practice: Yama (attitudes toward our environment), Niyama (attitudes toward ourselves), Asana (physical postures), Pranayama (the breath), Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses), Dharana (concentration)- learning and unlearning is a continuum on the expansion of this wisdom and knowledge.
Tapping into the history of our collective existence and my own. Revisiting the inner knowing, challenges, and triumphs of my past, my families & ancestors history, and that of the greater collective.
With understanding comes perspective, with perspective comes opportunity, with opportunity comes change…
we are at the brink of change-always. How will your shift the reality? Do you like what you see? Do you like what you are?
I am… here 🙏✨💞✊

It’s all the same pose, balanced,
expressive,
in stillness,
in motion.
Fully expressive
Fully present
is about opening the hip, balancing on the grounded leg, energetically extending through the finger tips to the crown of the head.

It has been an honor to teach weekly community classes for the last year, I’ve learned a lot, and had the pleasure to connect with many through yoga 🙏✨
Given my energy and schedule allowances, Thursday’s Community classes are effectively on hold- however, I am open for private 1:1 & group session so please reach out!
If you’ve taken one of my classes, I’d appreciate a comment or DM on your experience 🙏💜
My wish for you is to always be well, to think with a clear mind, to speak words of truth, and to live with an open heart 💜
With Gratitude

In the physical world, we are made up of 60% water. The tidal force of the moon can be seen right before our eyes like here: off the north shores of this massive washed up to the shoreline, and just a few hours after was completely submerged in the water.
The moon has its pull, and we can work alongside it
Today marks the beginning, and the end of a the lunar cycle. The new moon is symbolic of the bottom of the exhale 😮💨, feel this by expelling all the air from the lungs and Pause… feel it. Then breathe. Notice the sensation, where do you feel this in your body?

Yoga is a personal practice, some days I appreciate and adore practicing with community. Other days, solitude is my way.
Your practice is YOURS.
How are you showing up for yourself today?
When you roll out your mat, show up for you 1st.
My personal yoga practice varies from day to day. Somedays I stay in savasana, rest is essential to the tug and pull of life as it reminds me to slow down, notice, breathe, and ease. Other days I feel extra energized and find cadence in flowing, holding, pushing my edge- I work up a sweat and discover new sight.
Whatever energies you harness, own it, honor it, and work with it on and off your yoga mat 🙏✨

To honor and acknowledge, is to see and value.
To accept and love, is to approve and give affection.
To trust, is to allow and surrender.
, translated from means “ ”
The on the mat could look like listening and tuning into the breath, the body, and observing the mind...
If you listen to your body when it whispers you won’t have to hear it scream.
This is your practice.
Off the mat, it may look like journaling, meditation, spending time in solitude, spending time in nature, and, practicing yoga.
How do you practice studying yourself?
This Thursday’s regularly scheduled 6pm yoga class is canceled- my parents are coming into town and I’ll be spending all my time with them!
With that, maintaining a consistent practice and having a yoga community is so very important to me, and I hope you still practice with Stephanie Germann this Thursday at 6pm in at the corner of Euclid & Hurt Steet! Stephanie is a fabulous teacher, I hope you can make it! 🙏✨
