Firstly, creating a diverse garden complete with flowers, herbs, and vegetables serves as prevention for an overwhelming presence of these bugs. Secondly, allow ladybugs and wasps to thrive in your garden by avoiding pesticides. Their natural predators will prove to be much more effective. Thirdly, use neem oil to treat your plants, especially seedlings to prevent them from disrupting their growth and vigor.

It’s a very well-known fact that manure is one of natures greatest treasures. However, there are a few things you want to keep in mind especially if you plan to use it in an edible garden. 1. Manure must be added in the fall to give it at least 3 months to metabolize before planting crops.
2. Do NOT use dog,cat, or pig manure . They can have parasites that will inevitably make you sick.
3. Pregnant women, young children , and people with autoimmune diseases should practice EXTRA caution when eating from a manured garden.
4. Horse manure is not recommended especially if they eat hay instead of grass. The hay is sprayed with pesticides that will be unhealthy for consumption.
