What can companies learn about the future? Ask younger generations what they think. One great idea is shadow boards, a concept explored in the Harvard Business Review article “Why You Should Create a “Shadow Board” of Younger Employees.” It’s our latest reading recommendation for leaders seeking ways to blend generations to keep their enterprises thriving and adapting.

Who hasn’t read Covey's famous “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People”? Like this quote, his time management matrix is spot on! You can spend time on useful or useless things. Forever Young Agency is really excited about the Flipbird Films journey over the past few months. The pandemic has shaped this talented team into a leaner and more focused creative machine. We're proud to be a part of their new brand and launch.
Like so many, COVID-19 had wreaked havoc in our lives. We battled with securing our family and team's safety and well being. And like so many other small businesses we faced an incredible decrease in business. In addition, new, pending and current projects were take longer to close. It all became very hard to understand how to best navigate during these uncertain times.
We're proud to say that we worked through the uncertainty, even as doubt mounted, and doubled down on ourselves. We learned a ton about our core and what made us tick. It's like the saying, "when the going gets tough, the tough get going". We dug deep and built a strategy to win - no matter what. Through this difficult time we learned more about ourselves than during the good and we used that to build a new and improved Flip Bird Films.
We're excited to say that 5 months after Shelter in Place mandate we are proud to be launching our newly branded website with half a dozen amazing clients also fighting the good fight. Take a look and let us know what you think. If you know anyone we can flock with give them a tag in the comment below.

Cars are like companies. You have to change gears to implement change.
In the latest blog ‘Change Gears to Implement Strategy,” FYA Founder Young Han explores how his change from a Pathfinder to a Prius relates to the most important part of a strategic plan - implementing it.
The bigger the change, the harder it is to make it stick. Check out his “COG” checklist for essential strategic steps for sustaining lasting change.

Get Your Strategy in the Fast Lane | Forever Young Contact When I’m not on BART or my bike, I drive a hybrid. Good for the environment. Good for my pocketbook. But, before my hybrid days, I regularly trekked to Tahoe in my gas-guzzling Pathfinder. That sweet ride was “pimped out” with tinted windows, subwoofers and an awesome snowboard rack. W...

This month, Forever Young Agency’s intern Tiffany Cha graduated from college. She is one of about two million new grads who face career uncertainty due to COVID-19. This quote from Ursula Burns, American businesswoman, former CEO of Xerox and former leader of the STEM program of the White House (2009 to 2016). She captures my feelings about new grads’ dilemma. Things are a mess right now. You are not the mess.
Your future is bright, if somewhat delayed. Like Ursula also said, “If you don’t transform, you’re stuck.” Unstick what you CAN control. Tiffany has been learning a lot of new jobs skills online and through experimentation. You should too. Focus on learning things and building your network!
