Should your eyebrows be lighter or darker than your hair color?


Eyebrows are an important part of our daily makeup routine. We spend a lot of time perfecting our brow shape but can often give little thought as to whether the eyebrow product we are using, is the right shade and color. When you change your hair color, do you change the color of the eyebrow product? Is the product that you’re applying darker or lighter than your hair colour? Is the color tone even correct?

If however you are looking for a subtle, natural look.. brunettes should opt instead for the same color as your hair perhaps 1-2 shades lighter. This will soften the overall look, making all your features blend instead of making one standing out more than another. Blondes I suggest opt for a shade 1-2 darker than your hair color. This creates a little contrast that’s not too overbearing so you don’t look washed out.

So, my advice on brow shades…

With the above in mind when considering whether your eyebrows should be lighter or darker, I’d suggest the main rule of thumb is…
“…to have your brows similar to your hair color! You can’t go wrong! If you wish to go for a slightly different colour, I’d recommend only 1-2 shades darker or lighter!”

WHAT CAUSES PALE AREOLAS? 🤍

Through the years your breasts may change in size and shape. Skin texture may change, too. And changes in ni**le color can happen throughout your life for various reasons.

💓Pregnancy. During pregnancy your ni**les and ar**lae may become darker and larger, and then return to their normal color later on.

💓Breastfeeding. Women who breastfeed sometimes find their ni**les become faded in color.

💓Menopause. After menopause, your ni**le area may become smaller and paler. This is perfectly normal and one of the many common changes that can affect your breasts over time.

💓Changing hormone levels. Your hormones can have a lot to do with the darkening or lightening of your ni**les and ar**lae. If you take oral contraceptives, one possible side effect is pale ni**les.

💓Breast augmentation or breast reconstruction surgery. This type of surgery may change the appearance of your ni**les, possibly making them paler than they were before the procedure.

💓Lumpectomy. If you've had a lumpectomy - a common treatment for some types of breast cancer - the ni**le area of the affected breast may become paler over time.

You may notice that one ni**le is somewhat paler than the other. Keep in mind, though, that if you don't have any other signs or symptoms, a lightening of skin color around one or both ni**les is usually a harmless change.
