Let me make this clear…Yes, I grieved.
Not because I don’t love my son. But because I do.

I grieved the life I thought he’d have.
I grieved the milestones he may never reach.
I grieved the words I may never hear.
I grieved for him, and for me too.

But I never stopped loving him.
Grief doesn’t cancel love. It comes from love.

And over time, the grief softened.
It made space for joy. For presence. For acceptance of who he is. For finding happiness in the little things.

You can grieve and still show up with love.
You can hold both. I do every day.
