This is me! I'm the massage therapist!
A special support opportunity for ADAKC caregivers 💙
Thanks to the generosity of a longtime ADAKC volunteer and certified massage therapist, caregivers who attend ADAKC support groups may now be eligible to receive a free 10–15 minute mini massage in their home or office.
This complimentary caregiver-only massage may include hands, arms, neck, and shoulders, and is intended to offer a small moment of rest and relief for those caring for a loved one.
To participate, caregivers must attend an ADAKC support group and meet the following requirements:
💙 Non-smoking environment
💙 Pets must be put away in a separate room
💙 Massage is for the caregiver only
💙 Therapist does not provide respite care or work with patients/family members
💙 24-hour cancellation notice is required
Appointments may be available outside of Bakersfield, including weekends and after hours.

Nurses' week: Went to four hospitals to provide chair massages and went to one hospice company.
Same time frame: Provided massages to a family who had a spa day! Also went to a tea party for adult females with autism and provided arm and hand massages to the ladies and their mothers. Was a beautiful event; the ladies were wearing what I call "tea party dresses"!
Hired by a local hospital to go to several of their locations to provide chair massages during Nurses' Week! I will have the pleasure of meeting a lot of new people.
Finished third day of chair massages for two different medical offices. Had a lot of fun AND booked an appointment for one employee AND a spa party for another!
Note: Today was sports' shirt day and there were a LOT of Dodger shirts - pffttt. I still worked on those who were wearing the jersey of my competitor (go Braves!) and I let each of them know who the better team is.
Professional Admin day / week -
Today I provided chair massages at a local medical group (4 hrs).
Tomorrow and Friday I will be at another medical group for 8 hrs each day, also providing chair massages.
Out and about!
Provided complimentary arm / hand massages today at local chemotherapy clinic.
Gentleman: "It feels so nice to have something done to my arm than having IVs put in all the time."
