For the Love of Silas

His surgery went well and he is home and trying to rest. He is having a lot of pain. If you could say some prayers for that and fast healing.

I’m asking everyone to please pray for Silas and send some good vibes his way. Pray for comfort and for his nerves (and mine). We check into Arkansas Children's about 6:30am for his muscle biopsy. He has been crying off and on all day because he is scared, I get it. With the RYR1 variant he is more susceptible to adverse reactions from anesthesia, so mommy is scared too. I’m not telling him that. I told him I will be there with him the whole time and they are supposed to bring me back before he wakes up. I would trade places with him if I could. Pray the procedure goes well and fast. That the pain is manageable and controlled. Pray for the surgeons performing the procedure, and pray for me too please.

I’m told it’s supposed to be an outpatient procedure and will keep you updated if anything changes.
