“Islands in the Stream”, “For Whom the Bell Tolls”, “The Old Man and the Sea” — these are stories about inner strength, persistence, love, and the ability to go all the way, no matter what.
Yes, Hemingway ultimately succumbed to depression, but his life remains an example of bravery, courage, and fighting until the very end.
In his house in Key West, Florida, six-toed cats — descendants of his beloved pets — still live. “Papa Hem” will always be a symbol of strength and freedom.

I've been flipping through scientific journals lately, and everything feels... processed. Overchewed headlines.

Yes, Ozempic can rarely cause eye issues.
Yes, the herpes vaccine does reduce heart disease risk.
Yes, methotrexate is being used for sarcoidosis.
And yes, there's a spike in diphtheria cases in the UK.

Let’s pause the noise for a moment. Let’s actually read something that can heal when your whole body aches or your soul starts slipping into depression.

From Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s Wind, Sand and Stars:

A pilot crashes in the Andes in the dead of winter. No food. No gear. Just -40° cold and mountain passes at 15,000 feet. No chance of survival.

But he lived. And here’s why:

🌙 A night ritual that works for me, not against me 💪

Since childhood, I had a habit of eating before bed — usually tea with “something sweet.” 🍪🍫

Now I’ve turned that around.
About 2 hours before sleep, I go for a healthy, high-protein snack.
Sometimes it’s just a shake with water.
Tonight — I made this dessert:
🧊 cold, vanilla, satisfying — and still light on the stomach.

📌 Made with Proflex whey isolate (20g protein per serving), no sugar.
Next time I’ll add a bit of coconut flakes and berries — that’ll take it to the next level! 🥥🍓

Strawberries top the list for pesticide contamination. But how much would you need to eat for it to become dangerous?

I asked ChatGPT, and here’s what I found out:

Studies in the U.S. have shown that strawberries can contain up to 7 different pesticides per berry, including:

Carbendazim (linked to infertility and potentially cancerous),

Bifenthrin (may affect the nervous system).

According to the calculations:

> To exceed the safe daily limit of carbendazim, an adult weighing 70 kg would need to eat about 1.4 kg (3 lbs) of contaminated strawberries per day.
Similar numbers apply to bifenthrin.
So, eating strawberries occasionally is not dangerous, but frequent consumption of poorly washed fruit can pose long-term risks.

Bottom line: Always wash your fruits and vegetables properly!
