Caution. Life In Progress

Good Sunday morning! Are you at church? You should be. Don’t be like me, I couldn’t seem to get it together this morning to get there. I did, however, take a walk and do some private praise and worship.
Today I’m thinking a lot about change and our passion in life. We often find ourselves doing what we do because we landed there and then life takes over and it’s who we become. Are you doing what you’re passionate about today?

It’s Saturday! Get up and get dressed! What are your plans for the day? I have my Dollar General list planned and a WalMart trip. My daily Bible study (which I’m not always good to do on the weekend but it’s a new year) and some exercise. Then just relaxing.

We are starting a new year. Often times we reflect back on the year and remember everything that made the year hard. Trust me, 2025 was a challenging year. We decided to sell the house we had lived in for 22 years and downsize. Why? It was time to make life simpler.
In the middle of this, the practice that I manage was going through acquisition negotiations. So, yes, 2025 was stressful. However, there were so many opportunities to be with friends and family that brought wonderful memories. I also found myself growing in my faith. There were days/weeks that my faith in God is what kept me grounded. I also learned it is easier to say you’re faithful than to practice it.
So, I am preparing and looking forward to a new year with a new home and starting a new job. I also know that my faith will be tested and some days I will fail. But, my Father in Heaven is loving and forgiving. He will assure me he is in control and guide me.
