It saddens me to have to say this. Due to my circumstances, I have to leave my place of employment. My apartment and living expenses outweigh today’s deadline for my work rent. Furthermore, experiencing disrespectful and hurtful words and behavior made this decision much easier. I am hopeful for an uplifting new year to come. Thank you to all who donated, prayed, offered uplifting words, and continue to support me. What we did raise will make an impact for me. I will continue to keep the Go Fund Me page available for continue donations and support. I won't be able to change the wording in the Go Fund Me until later this evening. This was not easy to ask for help, let alone for money, and this has been a very humbling experience. I am deeply grateful to those who have reached out to me throughout this healing journey to make sure I am okay. I am so grateful 🙏 for my blessings. I will continue to happily work part time doing SCL work for a family when I am released to return to work in February. I will keep you posted on where my new place of employment will be as soon as I find something. Thank you. I appreciate you more than you know.

Hello. I am coming on here to reach out to a community that I love being a part of and will continue to support. I run my business locally in Bondurant, IA. I rent a chair at a salon there. As an independent contractor, I sought out short-term disability insurance for things like this. I made a huge mistake in purchasing the wrong short-term disability insurance to help subsidize me while I am recovering from two surgeries. I am not able to use that insurance for my two procedures. I was led to believe that it would be covered. With that being said, if I do not work, I do not make income. Anything will make a difference. A dollar, a share, or a prayer is enough. I like where I work and don't want to lose that, most importantly, I need help with my basic living expenses. Please and thank you for helping me with my basic living expenses and my rental fees. I am so greatful for what has already been donated. I will give back in the future no matter what, because I care for it and being in it.

I have so much love and gratitude for all the people who are coming together to help me with my basic living expenses and to pay rent for my work. This has been the most humbling year of my life and has not been an easy thing to do. I take full responsibility for the mistakes that I made to get me into this situation. I had a minor setback. I caught it early. I got an infection in my elbow incision. I am now on some strong antibiotics. I start speech therapy tomorrow for my swallowing issues. Things are getting better! I am so thankful for all the love and support!!! I have an amazing doctor and health team!

Everything is going as it should. I am so thankful for having an amazing team of medical professionals for my procedures. Dr. Piper is awesome and I love his caring personality. I got my sutures out today and everything is healing like it should. So far I have been doing crosswords, movies, sleeping, and reading.

One more day here -- hospital, trying to get pain under control.
