After years of being sick on medicine I have returned to Herbal Wisdom and my Ancestral Roots.

I have huge news to share! Licensing has not been an easy task. The IRS took two and half months on issuing an EIN for tax purposes because I’ve been married for decades and file my taxes jointly. 🤯It took me talking to the right agent that understood and able to troubleshoot for me.

Then the county. Although there are many businesses in my neighborhood, it is prohibited to have a small business out of my home. So in order for me to be licensed (which I am now! 🎉) We had to be creative and come up with an alternate plan to re-submit. So although my dream was to have a store front herb shop, I am shifting to an online store for local buyers. (Non-locals: I hope to offer shipping next year.) After the purchase, we will reach out and schedule a pick up time at my residence. We can either bring out your purchases to your car, or you can come in my private entrance shop and experience our products as intended. You can have the opportunity to browse, smell, and handle our products while you are picking up yours!

No crowds. No rushing. It would be a relaxed shopping experience that I’ve always wanted to offer, by appointment only.

We are now shifting gears and working hard on getting the website launched. Be on the lookout, it should be up and running in the next week! Thank you for your support!

What’s growing on? 😆

I am slowly replacing all of the veggies with strictly medicinal herbs. As the herbs mature, I have been successfully transplanting them into soil as well as cloning them to have more plants. I’ve never grown anything in my life, this has been a fun, new hobby for me. And I love that I know where my herbs are coming from and they are chemical free.

Joe and I bought some goodies from this adorable farm stand in Buckeye today! It gave me a sense of community that I am striving for with my business too. I loved it! You can check it out at 29920 W Pierce St. in Buckeye. Bring cash. She carries fresh eggs, sourdough, pickled items, salsa, plant seeds, etc. Here is the group page if you’d like to give it a follow: Lil Red Barn Ranch

First batch of Herbal Bath Salts! 🎉(Just awaiting labels😆.) A variety of salts were combined with nourishing botanicals and essential oils. I added tea bags into the bags after they were weighed in case the recipient doesn’t like botanicals floating in the tub. They can simply fill the tea bag and put it in the tub and the salts will dissolve and they can throw away the bag with the dried flowers. Easy clean up! Pouches were then heat sealed. These were fun to make!

I have been dealing with a major hiccup in my business licensing. ☹️I am now sipping on a stress reliever drink to lower cortisol levels and thought I’d share the recipe. It’s ice water, fresh lemon balm, 1/4 teaspoon of l-theanine, and a little raw honey. It’s a mood booster and calms me down.

*note to self to propagate lots of lemon balm as the school year is merely weeks away haha!

I have been carefully choosing products that align with natural wellness, self-care, and everyday beauty to compliment my own line of formulations. My kids helped me with a fun unboxing video of a brand that I’m excited to bring into my shop! Zaylie did the unboxing and Dylan showed off his editing skills. 🤦🏻‍♀️😆Enjoy!

I decided to start sharing sneak peeks of the inside of my shop leading up to my opening! It is a work in progress, but this is my tea section so far. The empty shelving is for my herbal tea blends that I’ll create when I open. I want to keep my herbs in glass jars for now as licensing is taking longer than expected. But we also carry raw, local honey. The small jars to the left will be free with purchase of a tea blend. We carry tea bags, pots, and a variety of infusers as well.

My shop isn’t ready yet, but my sign is! Opening soon!

Aren’t they beautiful? Any guesses on the herbs?

What you are looking at are two jars of the highest quality of herbs! They have been carefully measured and are now submerged in their own menstrum and tucked away for the next 6 weeks: one in alcohol, and one in a mixture of glycerine and distilled water. Same exact herbs, but I used different liquids to extract the medicinal constituents from the plants. Alcohol makes the most potent tinctures because it is able to extract more efficiently. But not everyone can tolerate alcohol so the same herbs are extracting in another jar and the dosage will need to be increased to get a similar effect. These tinctures have been carefully formulated to decrease anxiety and stress.
