Years ago, at my lowest I started taking these small steps. Even when it was uncomfortable. And slowly my life started to completely change. I wish when we talked about mental health we taught people the “how.” We taught people how to unlearn and re-wire the brain and body. And that we told the truth: there are no quick fixes. I’ve been out of the habit of self care. I worked so hard to make healthy habits, and then life or in my case, a foot issue got in the way exercise, and then I let all my good habits go 🥹. I’ve had a couple of days of consistent effort, and just want to encourage any of you in the same place, that we can develop those habits again and welcome them back like an old friend.
