Tip from Gary:
When spotting your carpet, use 1/2 ounce dishwashing liquid to a pint of water.
To get out a small spot of grease , pour a small amount of 90% rubbing alcohol on a white towel and rub gently on the spot till it has all transferred to the towel, then pour a small amount of water on the clean area and blot up the remaining alcohol with the clean part of the towel.
