NAMM 2026 Highlight #2: This one is personal.

Two years ago, when he was just 12, Santiago and I set out to build a bass. He didn’t just help—he co-designed this instrument from the ground up.

To see our “father-son project” sitting in a display case at the NAMM show was surreal. Santiago might actually be the youngest builder to ever have their design exhibited here.

I couldn’t be more proud of his vision, his skill, and that smile. Best moment of the show for me, hands down.

The Anacapa offset bass Río Grande is a tribute to one of the most iconic railroads in history, a symbol of movement, connection, and cultural exchange.

The Anacapa Black Dog is a tribute to raw energy, groove, and controlled chaos, inspired by Led Zeppelin’s Black Dog. That song defined a moment where precision and instinct collided, and this guitar was built with the same philosophy.
This Anacapa model represents the spirit of classic rock translated into a modern handmade instrument.

Anacapa T seat #4 - “1015” Hollywood Bowl Edition
was conceived as a tribute to Eddie Van Halen and to one of the most iconic venues in music history, the Hollywood Bowl.
Van Halen’s final live performance took place on October 4, 2015, at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, concluding their North American tour with Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, David Lee Roth, and Wolfgang Van Halen on stage together for the last time.
