Such a fun Christmas quilt by my client April, she is ready early this year! Quilted with pattern “Sparkling Dreams”.

Quilting related- I made this quilted jacket on a sweatshirt for my good friend. The fabric just shouted her name. Sewn in a style that looks like stained glass with the black between the beautiful batik fabrics. I quilted around the interior of each piece to help the black to have dimension. One pocket by request . I am so happy she likes it!! Fun to see her wear it!

Long time since posting! Crazy quilting leading up to Christmas and travels in January! For the last 7-8 years I have been working on hand sewing while traveling. What I call my “Lifetime Achievement Quilt” is finished! Over 1500 1” English paper pieced (EPP) hexagons! Don’t worry, I have my next travel project started … or two😆

I finally got up the nerve to enter my quilt into a small local quilt show. I loved seeing it among so many other wonderful quilts. Pattern is “Triple Treat” by Bonnie Hunter in my brightest scraps with low volume in the contrasting squares. Quilted with the design “ba da bing “. I just love it!

A little tribute to my husbands Grandmother who made these 2 quilts. I met her after she stopped quilting and many years before I started quilting. I hope the quilts I make will be treasured by someone else like I treasure these. One of these gems gets to live with ME!
