The Cramerton Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for over 180 acres of park and open space within Town Limits.
Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for all citizens through the development of recreation facilities, services and programs that promote a lifestyle of wellness, physical activities, and special events for all ages We manage five Town owned Parks, maintain 10 greenways and trails totaling over three miles and are responsible for six fishing and observation piers and six river access to

The Town of Cramerton will host the annual Goat Island Games on Saturday, June 6, 2026. The event will feature a variety of activities for the community, including the Goat Island Games 5K and 5-Mile Road Race, which is scheduled to begin at 8:30 AM.
Please be advised that beginning at 8:15 AM, temporary road closures will be in effect to ensure the safety of race participants.
The following downtown streets will be impacted:
- Center Street
- Ninth Street
- Eighth Avenue
- North Main Street
Additional road closures will affect areas of town including:
- Portions of Mayflower Avenue
- The Old Town Community
- Lakewood Road
- The Lakewood Community
Roads will reopen on a rolling schedule, with downtown streets reopening first. All roads will be fully reopened by 10:00 AM.
We appreciate your cooperation and encourage all residents and visitors to plan accordingly. Thank you for supporting this community event.

Fitness Class Location Change Now Through July 22
Due to summer programming, our Community Center fitness classes will be temporarily relocated through July 22.

π§ Wednesdays at 6:00 PM β Yoga with Gaston County Family YMCA
Both classes will be held in the basketball gym at the C.B. Huss Recreation Center, next door to the Community Center at 8 Julian Street, Cramerton.

Due to mechanical issues, the Cramerton Pool will be closed today (Tuesday, June 2.)
We are hopeful that these issues will be resolved soon and will provide updates as they become available.
