My Carolina Star, Ember 💜
This year was extra fun having Ember by my side. From Miss Onslow County to PONC to the Miss North Carolina Scholarship Organization stage, she’s the best sidekick🕺
One of my favorite memories was standing backstage holding Ember’s hand while she asked if I’d heard her cheering for me all week because she’d been “screaming!” 🤣 She kept me laughing and cracked me up all week.
Another favorite memory was walking out on stage together in our red, white, and blue, and as awards were being called, her looking at me and saying “it’s going to be you!”
The Carolina Stars Program is a mentorship program that allows little girls to experience Miss NC alongside a delegate. In Ember’s words, “This week has been so much fun!” 💜

So grateful to have been awarded $4,500 in scholarships yesterday at the NCESF Benefactor Designated Grants Ceremony.
I was honored to receive the Smithfield Foods Agribusiness Grant, the inaugural McNeil Chestnut Legacy Grant, and the Academic Achievement Grant.
Thank you to the benefactors whose generosity makes these scholarships possible and to the NCESF for its commitment to education. ❤️
