I went and spoke with the family and members of the community about the tragedy at 51st and Wood.
My deepest condolences go out to the victims and their families. My heart is with everyone affected. I spent time listening to Citizens, offering support, and showing that someone cares.

Graduation season has ended, but Issac Bradley will never get to see his son graduate from high school. Mayor Brandon Johnson recently watched his own son graduate from Kenwood Academy while protected by a 150-officer police detail. Issac had no such protection.

Issac Bradley was a true Chicagoan, a father, entrepreneur, co-owner of one of Hyde Park’s newest steakhouses, and a pillar of the community. Someone investing in the neighborhood that raised him should never have to fear returning to it.

On June 5, 2026, another mass shooting struck Chicago’s New City neighborhood. Two people were killed and five others were wounded, including a 23-year-old woman fighting for her life. Chicago is grieving, and our communities deserve real protection, not photo ops,
distractions, or political theater.

I have consistently raised concerns about violence, failing schools, struggling businesses, and the illegal Alien influx that has cost taxpayers billions of dollars. We have also questioned why Governor JB Pritzker and Mayor Brandon Johnson refuse to seek every available resource, including federal assistance, to help combat the violence devastating our neighborhoods.

Chicago, we must try something different. We have a city to save.

As Mayor, I will always show up, listen to the people, support our communities, and do everything in my power to protect every citizen of Chicago. Our families deserve safe streets, economic opportunity, and neighborhoods where they can live, work, and raise their children without fear.

I went to the community at 51st & Wood, where the recent mass shooting occurred.

Seven people were shot, and tragically, two lost their lives. With the blood still on the ground, I spent time talking with citizens, listening to their stories, giving hugs, and showing them that someone cares about what’s happening in their lives.
Brandon Gary, who has lived in the area since he was two years old, shared:
"I had to call off work. I came outside and saw my brother lying dead."

This is a working-class, family-oriented community that is now grieving and searching for answers. While city leaders continue to talk about building a safer Chicago, the citizens told me they are tired of promises and want to see real results.

If elected Mayor, I will always show up, support and listen to the citizens, and do my job to help ensure everyone is safe in their communities.

I went to three meetings today at City Hall, including the Landmark Committee meeting, and I got so tired of hearing them talk about how they are helping the African American community, how they are supporting us, how they have built up our communities, and why they need more money.

When they're actually the reason we're being pushed out. They're the reason we don't own businesses in our neighborhoods, why we're losing our homes and property, and why we can't afford anything.

All they do is steal and launder our tax dollars and TIF money.

They're the reason we don't get a fair share of the TIF money that is meant for blighted areas and the residents living there to help develop those communities.
Yet we have to sit and listen to them claim they're fighting for us while giving our money away to everyone else, but not to us.

Hello Chicagoans. It’s truly going to take all of us to save Chicago. It’s going to take citizens who are tired of career politicians dictating our lives, going along with their agenda, and ignoring the regular people who keep this city running, and pay for everything, the operational costs of this city. They don’t care about us.

They see us as slaves to their lifestyle, and their agenda.

It’s going to take us rising up and realizing that we deserve better. We can take our city back, and it can work for all of us. Our money can go toward improving our lives, not theirs. We can do this, Chicagoans.

This was in the heart of winter last year. I put these elected officials on notice about leaving our citizens on the ground and not caring about them.

At City Hall, I wanted to put these elected officials on notice,

Brandon Johnson, JB Pritzker, and the DISGRACE 50 Aldermen , a 48-hour notice that if they don't get the homeless senior citizens off the streets and provide them the help they need, everything they have given to illegal aliens , warm homes, hot food, and other services will be exposed.

It's cold outside, and some homeless citizens said they’ve been asking for help and have not received anything.

They were put on notice at City Hall, they have 48 hours to get these citizens help.
If not, the citizens will be at City Hall to speak and show how they are being treated, while illegal alien, are prioritized over them .

Listen, Chicago , it's going to take all of us to save this city.

The political machine is already preparing for the next mayoral race, and they're going to promise you everything they could have already done while they're in office right now.

Most of the people talking about running for mayor already hold elected office. They vote on budgets, approve spending, and have access to information the public doesn't.

So where were they when crime was rising, businesses were leaving, taxes were increasing, and Chicago's finances were being mismanaged?

Many of them helped create the problems they're now promising to fix.

Chicago cannot keep playing musical chairs with the same political insiders and expect different results.

Take Lincoln Yards. In 2019, City Council approved a TIF projected at up to $900 million. Some analyses estimate the total commitment could reach approximately $1.3 billion when financing costs are included.

Now it's 2026.

How much has been spent? What has been completed? What return have taxpayers received? Who benefited?

And here's what I don't understand. Susan Mendoza wants to now criticize Brandon Johnson over TIF spending, but she's been in office for years too.

Susan Mendoza is the Illinois Comptroller. Her office's responsibility includes processing and issuing state payments authorized by law. If things were so broken, where was the alarm years ago?

Why are so many politicians suddenly discovering problems when campaign season is approaching, and their planning on running for Mayor?

Chicago doesn't need another machine candidate. Chicago doesn't need another insider moving to a different seat.

Chicago needs accountability. Chicago needs transparency. Chicago needs real change.
Chicago needs.

Brandon Johnson had the nerve to put out a statement blaming Trump for why Chicagoans are going through what we’re experiencing, saying we have had Enough
I guess he thought we forgot about this. So I played back what he campaigned on.

Chicagoans have had enough of you.
Brandon Johnson, this is exactly why I can't wait to win this mayoral race. Chicago deserves a full forensic audit so taxpayers can finally see where their money has gone and how City Hall has been operating.

Chicagoans are struggling to make ends meet because of your failed leadership. Families are dealing with high taxes, rising costs, crime, and declining city services.
Instead of making excuses, you should be helping the citizens of Chicago.

Chicagoans need accountability, transparency, and results. That's exactly what my administration will bring.

When I'm Mayor, we will audit the books, expose waste, fraud, abuse, and corruption wherever it's found, and make sure those responsible are held accountable under the law.
