So often, as parents, we are so busy maintaining our households that we delegate some things unintentionally to others. One of those is knowing where our children should be developmentally when it comes to education. We rely on teachers to teach them what they need to know. The problem comes into play if your child is behind, say, a grade level. For example, your second grader is at a first grade level in math. When they go to school the teacher is teaching, however, it's only what's assigned at the second grade level. Many teachers try to accommodate, but there is only so much time that they have and they have a classroom full of other students in need as well. It's important that we, as parents, gain some idea of what our children should know because we are our kids first teacher‼️
