Long post but a must. I contemplated this post for a while because I love to help, encourage and lift up my sisters. Never do I want to tear another woman down but yeah, I think this post may prevent someone else from experiencing what I did so it’s a must.

Starting your lock journey supposed to be happy and exciting time however Khaharrah Latham of K’Monet Creations made the start of my journey a nightmare.

It started the day of my install. I had a 6am appointment with her in the city at 6343 Western. Lord knows I didn’t want to go there but I had already experienced a nightmare trying to get my hair done and I truly thought Khaharrah was a life saver.

I woke up excited headed out for my 6am appointment. I get 15 minutes away with a message that she has to push my appointment out to 10am. I calmed down went home and still looked forward to my installation. Got there at 10 she still had someone in the chair. I ignored all that giving her the benefit of the doubt. Still referred her to people never mentioning my experience. Everyone has bad days I wanted to support her, so I let it go.

I’m going to make it short, but my 1st retie, the most important of all she canceled my appointment which was Jan 27 or 28th rescheduling me to Feb 10th. Feb 10 gets here my heart was so heavy they scheduled my Soror's funeral that day I couldn’t reschedule because my hair was a mess and it’s hard to get appointment. I had to leave the funeral to get there at 1pm to again find someone else in the chair, she’s not ready for me again. After she finish, about 30 minutes later, she tells me to sit in the chair and said she will be right back. I sat there over and hour she’s nowhere to be found. She comes back and pretty much tells me she’s not feeling well she can’t do me. I look at the clock at that point I was there 2 hours waiting only to be sent home.

She tells me she’s so sorry fake crying and all and that she can do me Monday or Tuesday. She will call me with a time. Of course, she never calls so I had to call her. What time on Monday. She had nothing Monday she’s trying to move stuff around so I ask what about Tuesday, what do you have open that we can schedule now. She says I actually don’t have anything until middle of March but none of this is your fault so I’m going to move stuff around and I promise I’ll get you in this week. I had to keep following up she never reached out on her own. Finally she gives me a 1pm appointment on like Thursday. The day of the appointment I’m sitting waiting, tons of new growth so all I wanted was to get there. you’ll she texted me about 2 hours before and canceled. She tells me the girl with the 1pm appointment didn’t confirm so she gave me the slot now the girl calls her 2 hours before and now she had to take her because she confirmed that she is coming. She then gave me a promise that she will still do me that evening when she finishes and will text me 1 hour before so I can head out. I get a text that evening. It’s getting late I can’t do you.

There is so much more but I don’t have to say more, not to mention the damn dog that she has there sh****ng on the floor constantly jumping on you the whole time and she does absolutely nothing. Cute dog but at this point I’m pi**ed off. Get your damn dog.

After all this I’m still debating if I should warn others or let her be. I went to her Booksy page and see the exact similar post from another of her clients on 2/18. This is a pattern. The thing is she takes your call immediately you will think she’s awesome. She has you book immediately with a 200 deposit but after she gets your nonrefundable deposit, she treats you like s**t. She also removed my appointment out the app so I couldn’t leave a review.

If you're considering Khaharrah Latham of K’Monet’s Creations please proceed with caution she is not reliable and cares more about getting new installs for the big pay day in lieu of maintaining and nurturing the clients she has.
