Thank God for allowing me to see another year! Here I am. Raw. Just me. No makeup, no filter. Brown and blond hair with plenty of gray peaking through. I endure the highs and lows of life. Joys and sorrows. Through it all, I continue to praise God and to be thankful. What I have endured could have been so much worse.

The job can be rough and unforgiving BUT I am gainfully employed;
I fell short in some running goals this year (including qualifying for Boston again) BUT I have the ability to walk and run;
My home doesn’t look like an HGTV product BUT I have a roof over my head;
My schedule can tend to be overbooked, which wears me out BUT I have friends and family who love and spend time with me and activities that mean the world to me;
I’m not overflowing with money at times BUT I’m able to pay bills and do some fun things, too;
I have allergies and sometimes get a cold BUT I have great health.
My parents are aging and require attention BUT I still have them in my life and love spending time with them.

So, today, I celebrate all the “ifs, ands and BUTs” in life! I celebrate enduring a great year of life and stepping into another year of it! I celebrate old and new friends and experiences! I celebrate, celebrate, celebrate! ❤️🎁🎉🎂🔺🐘💃🏾
