My generous friend recently sent out a letter to her customers, and I wanted to share excerpts:
"Susie is a 4 time cancer survivor. She's beat breast cancer three times and lymphoma once. Chemotherapy had done a number on her skin and so she created products that helped replenish and nourish her skin back to its normal vitality. Once she was healthy, she decided to share these products with the world.
On New Year's Eve, Susie found out her breast cancer was back. And it had spread. And it's stage 4. The pain she had been feeling in her hip wasn't from taking up running, but from cancer. The news was just devastating, as I know you can imagine. Many of you have your own personal experience with cancer and can feel what she is going through.
What has struck me the most in watching Susie process this news and face cancer for the 5th time is her attitude and authenticity. Cancer sucks. There's no sugar coating it. She is devastated yet remains determined. She's disappointed yet remains grateful. I love her mantra that she repeats to herself:
“My body is fast at healing and returning to full health.”
What positive words do you need to be repeating to yourself?
I often think of Susie when life feels overwhelming for me. If Susie can fight cancer for the 5th time, I can face whatever issue I'm facing.
Our Susie Stacking Ring is named after her and I think it's the perfect name for the ring. Susie is strong, beautiful, and full of grace and joy. And $5 from every purchase is going to be donated to her Go Fund Me page to help her family offset her medical costs.
