Because of this, Twitter user Nafisa Ahmed decided to break it down in a way that everybody can understand.

I'm thrilled to announce my Awareness Photogrpahy Project- In Arms will be exhibited in Madison WI on April 7th . The prints will be available for auction to raise funds for the non profit StageQ. I will be showing the work along side the photography of the talented Natalie Kirk, and we will both be speaking about our work the night of the event .

In Amrs is BACK! We are excited to announce our creation of a Chicago chapter for 2016. In Arms will be Photographing Chicago community members and highlighting local resources dedicated to providing for survivors of sexual assault in the LGBTQ community. And to kick off this new series we welcomed Kim Chi of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 8. Thank you to Kim and our other volunteer models for participating in this shoot! This is one of our favorite shoots! We can't wait to get more of this series completed!

This series began the In Arms project in the summer of 2015, kicking off in Milwaukee WI. A special thank you to This is It for hosting the first every exhibition and welcoming the support of the community for this awareness as well as Plan B in Madison for allowing us to use their space during the production of the series. These images portray figures being consumed by surreal amounts of arms and hands in both domestic and public arenas, as sexual violence accords in both the home and in the public sphere. each photo represent the non-consensual nature of sexual assault, and the confusing nature of love, sexual experience and sexual violence .
