Our company is marked by its high quality, great prices, customer service and the use of the latest materials and technology. JPC was started in 1992 by Jerry Pounds in Johnston County, North Carolina. Pounds, an accountant by degree and profession, had long been involved in all aspects of construction to include practical experience in rough and trim carpentry as well as cabinet and furniture mak
ing as a hobby. Pounds, who built his first personal house at the age of 19, enjoyed the home building process and wanted to further develop his interest. Pounds was first licensed by the NC Licensing Board for General Contractors in 1992. The company’s early endeavors were single family homes and small commercial structures in and around Wake and Johnston Counties. From here Pounds began to expand his business to include multi family construction, specifically town home developments such as Barber Mill Town homes in Johnston County and Victoria Park in Wake County. The company continued its commercial efforts with the construction of professional and medical office buildings. In 2005 JPC expanded its reach to eastern NC with the development of Indian Trail Town Homes, a 74 unit multi family planned community in Craven County.
