This past February, God called me to walk away from being just a "hairstylist" and walk into MORE. More of a mantle. More of a calling. More boldness. More courage. More Kel-Lee. This walk has been one of the hardest walks I have ever had to take. To walk away from comfort. To walk away from my clientele. To walk away from something I have been standing on and behind for over 2 decades now. My hair career has been my EVERYTHING. I have poured my whole self into it. But God.....God said there is MORE! And it's time to WALK! Every step of this journey on this narrow path has a step of Faith and Obedience. I don't fully know what's at the end of this path, But I can certainly say it's going to be a "God DID IT" type of testimony. So to my amazing clients both past and present, I humbly thank you from the bottom of my heart for entrusting me with your hair journeys. You all have impacted my life in more ways than you will ever know and I am forever grateful for you all.
The "hairstylist" has crossed the finish line so it's now time for the CEO to step up to the starting line. Let me get back to this WALK!

Hey fellow cosmetologists!

My name is Kel-Lee, and I am the owner of LovingOnYourHair LLC. I’ve been in this industry for over two decades, and during that time, I’ve witnessed a significant shift—one that has been both noticeable and concerning.

Lately, it feels like our industry is being challenged in ways that are impacting its reputation. More importantly, I’ve observed a growing decline in trust—not only from clients toward stylists, but also from stylists toward clients. It’s clear that many of us are feeling the frustration on both sides.

Because of this, I’m passionate about starting a conversation and exploring solutions that can help restore trust and strengthen the relationship between clients and professionals in our field.

To better understand what others are experiencing, I’ve created a short Google Form as part of a research initiative. My goal is to gather honest insight from licensed cosmetologists so we can begin identifying ways to bridge this gap and move our industry forward in a positive direction.
