I got involved in this field of work shortly after watching Brian and Nick Wolfe do some of their stuff at The Midwest Haunter’s Convention in Columbus, Ohio. I took some classes and workshops on face painting techniques which led me into an opportunity as a makeup artist for a local haunted house which also allowed me to improve on my SFX makeup skills. Did this Vic Rattlehead face paint for my buddy Mike for a Halloween party. A lifelong Megadeth fan myself, this was a personally satisfying opportunity and one I'm surprised I hadn't tackled earlier! Thanks for the challenge, Mike! Glad it was a success!

Tomorrow I'll be joining my friends in Kentucky to do a piece for the Cincinnati Body Paint Expo! It's been awhile since I've done one (work and such), but being surrounded by such talented artists always inspires me to rally and do my best work. Super honored to be included in this event!

Some pics from the body paint I did last week. Thanks to Kasey G for being my wonderful model (this being her very first body paint). Really happy to start off my updated portfolio with this Cirque Du Soleil-themed project.
Body Paint Jams will start scheduling again after the first of the year for all my painter, photography and model friends who want to stay creative through the next few months. ;)
