I wear purple today not only because it’s my favorite color, but because October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

I stand with victims and survivors — across every background, age, and ethnicity. Abuse doesn’t always leave visible scars; it can hide behind smiles while silently draining someone’s peace, joy, and mental health.

As an Esthetician and Family Service worker, I’ve heard the stories, seen the pain, and sometimes had to be the one to report. It’s a reminder that we all play a role in awareness and support.

Instead of giving “shoulds,” offer compassion, presence, and encouragement. No one deserves to be “shoulded on.”

Together, let’s break the silence, uplift survivors, and create a world where love never hurts. 💜

A little lash love….

When I created this post to add to my story earlier in the week I was reflecting on who I am, how far I have come and the many hats I have worn and wear. I had to remind myself that no matter what the journey, I am I’m thankful. Thankful & grateful as a mom, life learner, educator, friend, sister, daughter, Esthetician, Servant, student and a Family Service Worker for Head Start. The floral background is a picture from my weekend walk on the trails. It made me think about how we bloom and shed as seasons change to become a better version of ourselves.
