Things are getting real as we get closer to the finish line! Living in chaos has not been fun but it will be worth the struggle when this project is finally completed!

We have made progress on our house addition and Interior renovation project. We are now camping in the front of our house as the transformation continues!
Although painful to live through on daily basis it brings a lot of excitement as we watch the design unfold!

The foundation is finally built and we should be ready for framing next week! The amount of dirt and fill has been overwhelming on our small lot. Although a bit painful to watch my backyard being destroyed it really helps me to understand what my clients go through. I am staying patient and learning every day!

The kitchen was transformed into a beautiful functioning space including a scullery. The addition of a three season room provides the extra room off the new kitchen, it feels like a vacation at home!

Kichen and bathroom finishes have been finalized!

And I to enjoy!
We are adding a new family room, new kitchen and primary bath. Of course the rest of our cute bugalow will be transformed to a more modern look. I will do my best to share the transformation over the next few months.

It has been awhile since I have posted anything to this site because, I am no longer working as Ginnerty Architects. However, I am working in residential and commercial design with Raphael Architects in Doylestown, PA. I also continue to work (through Raphael Architects ) with Cox Graae Spack Architects in Washington DC as their FF&E consultant for commercial work.
Recently, I finished this house in Arlington, Virginia as an age in place project. This design has recently been entered for an Arlington County Best Design award. The second project was a recent kitchen and family room addition in Ambler, Pennsylvania.
I still love my career and continue to be available to provide architecture and Interior Design services.

My first project in Pennsylvania!

I had a wonderful weekends staying with my friends who live on the Northern Neck. I designed this home for them with the idea that they would always see the "rivah" The fun with this house was not only designing the house but getting to detail the interiors too!
