Dear Dad,

We just celebrated Grandma’s 90th birthday, and seeing her filled my heart in ways I can’t fully explain. She’s still the same beautiful, radiant, and spunky woman—strong, graceful, and full of life. She continues to be a pillar of excellence, and her strength and compassion have touched so many people.

I thank God every day for allowing me to be part of her life and to witness such a living legend. as God is my witness, I will always make sure she is loved, cared for, and protected.

Grandma, thank you for bringing my father into this world. Because of you, I was given the gift of him, and that gift shaped my life forever.

She’s good, Dad. I promise. I miss you deeply and love you always. 🤍

There is something deeply powerful about being in spaces where women can show up fully — not just polished, but real, layered, and human. I am incredibly grateful to have been part of such a meaningful Valentine’s event. To be surrounded by strong, resilient, beautiful women while speaking on something so close to my heart — mental health — was truly an honor.

As women, we often wear many hats. We are caregivers, professionals, partners, mothers, leaders, nurturers, problem-solvers, and everything in between. Society often celebrates how much we can carry — but rarely pauses to ask how heavy it feels. The truth is, constantly pouring into others without refilling ourselves leads to emotional fatigue, burnout, and sometimes even losing sight of who we are outside of our responsibilities.

Mental health is not a luxury. It is foundational. It impacts how we show up in our homes, in our work, in our relationships, and most importantly — how we show up for ourselves. Prioritizing your mental wellness is not selfish. It is necessary maintenance for your mind, your spirit, and your body.

Giving ourselves grace means understanding that we will not be perfect in every role, every day — and that is okay. Grace sounds like:
• “I did my best today.”
• “Rest is productive.”
• “I am allowed to set boundaries.”
• “I can ask for help.”
• “I deserve care too.”

Valentine’s Day is often centered around loving others — but let this be your reminder that self-love is not optional. When you care for your mental health, you are not only healing yourself, you are breaking cycles, modeling strength, and creating healthier spaces for the next generation of women and girls watching you.

To every woman balancing multiple roles: you are not failing because you are tired. You are human. And you deserve softness, support, and grace.
