I wasn’t planning on sharing these just yet because they’re still in the final testing phase… but I’m just too excited! 😆

I’ve been testing these incense sticks for a while now, and I absolutely love how they’re performing. I also finalized the packaging, and I’m so happy with how clean and simple it turned out that I couldn’t keep it to myself any longer.

They’re not quite ready for release yet, but they’re getting close! I can’t wait 😁

Many people have asked where the name BlackJack Candle Co. comes from.

We live surrounded by beautiful Blackjack Oak trees, and I’ve always loved trees and the outdoors. When it came time to name my business, it felt fitting to honor a tree that’s been part of our home and our landscape for so many years.

Recently, one of our Blackjack Oaks came down during a storm. As we were cutting it up, I was amazed by what was hidden inside. The center of the tree revealed the most beautiful dark grain and rich natural patterns—something you would never know was there just by looking at the outside.

It was a reminder that beauty often lies beneath the surface.

I’m planning to save some of this wood and incorporate it into future BlackJack Candle Co. displays, allowing a piece of the tree that inspired our name to continue being part of our story.

It’s bittersweet to lose a tree that’s likely stood here for decades, but I’m grateful we can preserve part of it and give it a new purpose.
