I really wish I knew these things before I started braiding 💕🤌🏽 1️⃣ Get a vendor and provide the hair in your services . Hairstore braiding hair costs 6-7$ . A vendor charges about 3$ per pack . It seems like a little bit trust me it adds up . You can also provide hair for your clients which is very convenient for them to not have to go to the hairstore and search for hair they have no clue about . This can also make clients want to book with you and all you did was add the price for the hair in their total and provide it . 2️⃣ ITS OK to take a break and eat . Who made up this false narrative that hairstylist can’t stop to eat . We can’t work 5-12 hours without stopping for a meal . Your clients also have lunch breaks at work so if they have a problem with you stopping for 10-15min to eat that’s not the client for you . 3️⃣ Use products that are less then 20$ each but are still good products. The braid gel I use costs 14$ & I still use the yellow jam to slick and blend my clients hair with the braiding hair .
