Did you know that approximately 40% of horses experience poll & TMJ pain?
Similar to humans, horses store alot of trauma & emotion in their jaw. During stressful times they clench down which tightens the Masseter and surrounding muscles. Remember a horse has a bite force of 500-700 PSI (humans have a bite force of 120-162 PSI). That’s a lot of pressure on their jaw, muscles, and teeth. It is important that we help release any remaining tension to help the animal chew correctly and be pain free.☺️
Thank you Jay’s Road to the 2026 Buckskin World Show for being a wonderful model today!
