Who else is getting the espresso martini during your hair appointment? I sure am!

An espresso martini is my favorite cocktail so when I was opening Dwell I need we needed to have these as an option for clients 🍸

Not all blondes are created equal when it comes to maintenance. ✨

One blonde client may go 4–6 months between blonding appointments, while another prefers to come in every 8–10 weeks and neither is right or wrong. It all depends on a few factors:

• Your natural base color: Generally, the darker your natural hair is, the more noticeable regrowth can be and the more often you may want a touch-up.

• Your blonde goals: A bright, solid blonde from roots to ends typically requires more upkeep than a softer, dimensional, lived-in blonde.

• At-home maintenance: Using the right products, protecting your hair from heat, and following a good haircare routine can help keep your blonde looking fresh longer.

• Hair density and texture: Clients with finer or less dense hair may achieve a brighter look more easily, while thicker, denser hair can require different placement and maintenance schedules to achieve the same result.

• Personal preference: Some clients love a little lived-in softness and can stretch appointments for months. Others start counting down to their next appointment the second they leave the salon!

Time for a full highlight for summer 🌞

We hadn’t done a full color on Kathryn since before Christmas (only minis or slightly more than minis) so it was TIME

Amber had been a dimensional brunette for over a year and a half and was ready to dip her toes back into blonde… slowly and intentionally.

Our goal was a soft, neutral blonde that felt seamless from root to end: subtle brightness around the top, a little more solid through the ends, and an ultra-blended grow-out.

Considering months of darker glosses and lowlights, I couldn’t be happier with what we achieved in our first session. Bright, soft, and natural-looking while keeping the integrity of her hair a top priority. ✨

The best blondes are built over time, and this was the perfect first step. 🤍

The most random life dump hehe

Life has been BUSY. Booked behind the chair, eating amazing food, traveling, lifting heavy and running my heart out!!

Inspiration photos are a great starting point, but they aren’t a guarantee of the final result. ✨

Every head of hair is different. Your natural color, previous color history, texture, density, and overall hair health all play a role in what’s achievable in one appointment. My goal is always to create a look inspired by your vision while customizing it to what works best for your hair.

The best results happen when we use inspiration as a guide, not a blueprint!
