Hey Everyone 👋🏼 Just a little update… this sweet guy will be going in for his open heart surgery this Tuesday morning. Please keep us in your prayers! 💛💙Happy World Down Syndrome Day!
On 1/17/23 sweet Henry was born into this world with the diagnosis of trisomy 21 (also known as Down Syndrome). I had a rough pregnancy and definitely struggled with receiving the news of his likely condition at 20 weeks pregnant. Was I scared? Yes. Was I lonely? Yes. Was I overwhelmed? Yes. But…. Do I trust God? Yes!! My walk this far has grown me so much. Henry is the sweetest baby and I would not change him. I am excited to watch him grow and become who God meant him to be. I hope that if you are reading this post you can be happy for me too. When I was pregnant and even now I hear “I’m so sorry.” The way I see it is that there are gifts in every experience and I am looking forward to the gifts in this one. What breaks my heart the most is that so many people who get a pre-natal diagnosis decide to terminate their pregnancy. Henry is just a joy to be around and the easiest baby. Sure, there have been some health hurdles, but any kid could have those. I am so grateful that God chose me to be his mama so he could experience this amazing journey called life! I am so excited to see how he will change the world. If you know of anyone who gets this diagnosis and they are feeling scared/lonely/isolated… please have them reach out to me as I would be happy to offer support and answer questions based on my experience.

Beauty is all around, you just have to look for it! So grateful to take a little time away from a crazy work week to recharge in nature. Always so inspired by God’s creativity and spending time with awesome, creative friends.
