What is gray blending?

Gray blending is a technique designed to soften the contrast between your natural base color and your natural grays by creating intentional highs and lows of light. This makes grays appear more diffused, dimensional, and far less noticeable—never harsh or stripey.

Unlike traditional permanent gray coverage, which creates a solid root and a strong line of demarcation as your hair grows, gray blending offers a more seamless, low-maintenance alternative. With permanent color, regrowth can become obvious in as little as 2–3 weeks, sending you back to the salon repeatedly.

With my gray blending method, I use a demi-permanent color that softly and translucently blends the grays rather than masking them. This color fades gradually—similar to a toner—allowing new gray growth to melt naturally into the lighter, dimensional strands over time.

The result is a more elevated, lived-in look with longer-lasting softness, less upkeep, and hair that grows out beautifully.

…I love what I do, and I love my clients. I took the plunge 4/5 years ago and chose to change careers and follow my dreams. I was a business baddy, in my suit and pointy heels but I was miserable and my cup was almost always empty. I felt like I was giving up a piece of my soul every day that I was working in the corporate world after attaining my degree. Although I was proud of that accomplishment, I knew there was more for me…I wanted to make people feel good, I wanted to empower and uplift, I also wanted to be creative and work with my hands. Heck, it had been my dream since I was in high school, So I threw caution to the wind and started beauty school with hope that I’d be able to do hair and make women feel gorg!
Here we are now and man…I’m so happy for all the doubts and moments of adversity I faced, because I’m a better person for it. More successful and more fulfilled with sooo many amazing people on my team now🥺🥰🫶🏼

On my guest here, we use permanent color from to alter her natural base and blondme lighten to add in foilyage for a more dimensional look with softer grow out. All over melt and tone with shades eq.
