Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) is a hormonal disorder that affects women of reproductive age. It’s characterized by:
Irregular Periods: women with PCOS may experience infrequent, irregular, or prolonged menstrual cycles.
Excess Androgens: elevated levels of male hormones can lead to physical signs such as excess facial and body hair, severe acne, and male-pattern baldness.
Polycystic Ovaries: the ovaries might enlarge and contain numerous small cysts.
